Well-Being for Caregiving Mamas (Wounds Become Wings Workshop Series)

Join us for a healing workshop (journaling & meditation) focused on prioritizing your well-being as a caregiving Mama! Because let’s be real. Surface level self care won’t cut it for us; the daily challenges of mothering neurodivergent kids, and / or managing our chronic health issues requires something deeper. Several years ago I started tapping into well-being anchors: short daily wellness practices which help us cope with caregiver stress.

During our session, I will share -

  • Guided journaling to help identify well-being anchors which are most supportive for you now.

  • How to create a well-being anchor schedule to stay on track with priortizing your wellnesss needs.

  • Tips to sustain your well-being anchor practice.

  • Guided heart-centered meditation for caregivers.

About this Well-Being Workshop Series - Wounds Beocme Wings

This workshop is the first in an ongoing bi-monthly workshop series - Wounds Become Wings. This is a space for us as Mamas raising neurodivergent kids & Mamas living with chronic illness to support our well-being with nourishing tools and practices.

The title of the series is inspired by my poem, Wounds Become Wings (short excerpt):

“Witnessing miraculousness in everyday moments, discovering with renewed wonder what you once blindly dismissed as normal… You have become the light you once fought to see.”

The renrowed poet Rumi reminds us: "The wound is the place where the light enters
you." - Rumi

About When Motherhood Looks Different and founder Emelda De Coteau, Certified Mindfulness Coach:

I coach Mamas raising neurodiverse kids (Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, etc.) who are often overwhelmed and exhausted by their day-to-day responsibilities.

Who Cares for the Caregiver?

Most of us spend our days racing from one appointment to the next - visits with doctors and specialists, therapy sessions, and after school activities so our kids get that extra boost.

By the time they doze off to sleep at night, we’re exhausted. And there is zero time for self care; in fact, most of us have forgotten what it even feels like to relax.

I help you tap into the power of mindfulness to ease caregiver stress and burnout through accessible tools such as one-on-one mindfulness coaching, meditation and connecting in community through well-being centered events - online and in-person.

My experience -

  • Certified TSD Mindfulness Coach, 2023

  • Trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Mindful Leader, 2022

  • Facilitator of well-being and journaling workshops

  • Coach for Mompreneurs, 2019
